The firm has always emphasised the importance of its international association and is currently a leading member of AGN International Limited (AGN) a worldwide association of separate and independent accounting and consulting firms with over 200 firms operating in 100 countries. This association gives the Firm access to local knowledge in every major world market.
Liam McQuaid, our Managing Partner, is Chairman of AGN-Europe and a Director of AGN International Limited.
Background
AGN is a worldwide association of separate and independent accounting and consulting firms. Each member of AGN operates under its own local or national name; however, unlike many other similar organisations, the members remain autonomous. The individual members are all well recognised firms of excellent standing in their own countries and many rank in the top 15 firms within their own local accounting profession. AGN is structured on a regional basis – actions and technical knowledge is addressed to local needs but with global reach.
History
The Association was formed on 1st January 1996 as a consolidation of two precedent accounting associations which between them had a total of some forty years experience.
Objectives
The Mission Statement adopted states that the overall objective of the Association is
“To provide the highest level of information and professional services
for members and their clients worldwide"
Membership in AGN provides access to a worldwide professional association, composed of firms able to provide expert technical knowledge. Clients who, therefore, require professional services in another country will be well served.
PCAOB
Duignan Carthy O’Neill is registered with the USA based Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) which enables the firm to undertake the audit of USA Public Company Subsidiaries located in Ireland and the UK.
